Get your glow - The 5 best food categories for a clear skin

Isn't having a glowy skin everyones goal? Besides your daily beauty routine there are certain foods that will help improve your skin enormously.

1. Green Tea

Keep drinking. Water is a key element for a nice and gloomy skin, but green tea as an addition gives your skin an extra portion of polyphenols, making it anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Green tea flushes out toxins and can also be used as a toner against dark circles and spots.

Tip: Don’t through away the tea bags. Keep them refrigerated for 15 min and use them for tired eyes in the morning.

2. Avocado

Our all time favorite: Avocados. Full with vitamins A, D and E as well as good fats and phytonutrients. Tip: Avocados also make an amazing base for a face mask.

3. Berries

Antioxidants make your skin glow and berries are loaded with them. Additionally berries help to level the blood sugar. Some experts say „the darker the berries, the better“. Berries also help with issues related to hormones.

4. Nuts

Zinc and Selenium are your skin’s best friend. Nuts in general are high in minerals which helps increase the number of infection fighting white blood cells and boosts your immune system at the same time.

5. Fruits and Veggies

Keep it colorful on your plate is the golden rule. Yellow fruits and veggies such as oranges, apricots, carrots or sweet potatoes are full of vitamin c. Mix them with your greens such as spinach or other dark green ad leafy veggies.
