On her various social platforms, Mimi shares the transformational journey she underwent to become that balanced, fit, glowing and cheerful person she is today. The truth is, things weren´t always that way and it took years of diligent work to achieve her self-confidence and balance.
Mimi shared her journey on a “before and after” Instagram post: The girl four years ago was so deeply insecure, so far away from her true self, she felt lost. She projected fake confidence to the world, when in reality she was full of self-hatred and anxiety. She was unhealthy. Using partying and food to numb her deep pain. Stressed about money, her heart was closed and she didn´t feel worthy of love. Perhaps you can see this through my eyes, I´m sure you can.
Now… after years of persistence. Of doing the work. Of trying, falling off track… and then picking myself up again. Of committing to myself and deeply knowing that there was more for me in this life. I knew I could be happy. I knew I could love myself and my body. I knew I could feel whole and in love with life. I knew the right friendships and relationships were out there. To be clear, this is the work that has brought me to where I am today:
- Daily self-discovery and reminder of my “WHY” through writing and meditation
- Leaving behind old friendships and relationships that didn´t make me feel good
- Keeping promises to myself. Moving my body, waking up early, meditating… 70% of the time I managed to keep these promises. I was so far from perfect during this growth phase of my life. 30% of the time I fell off track. It´s not about perfection.
-Stopping drinking and partying. (This is a quick way to climb out of the “usual” hole most people live in. I still have a drink now and then, but it’s nothing like what it was before.)
- Investing in myself. Reading books, signing up for courses etc. Spending my time and money on things that truly fed my soul.
- Stopping the constant lies I used to tell myself. Stopping making excuses for other people, trying to get validation, etc. TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY LIFE. This is actually #1, this is everything.
After undergoing this long process of self-improvement and transforming her life on the mental and physical level, Mimi created the Mimi Method App to help other women do the same. Mimi believes everyone has untapped potentials within that they can unleash through a unique blend of practices including visualization, hypnotherapy, manifestation, meditation and workouts. It is about shaping your brain and body to transform yourself into what you are meant to be. Taking charge of your mind and moving your body in a way that will uncover your truest, best self.
